About Alexis

Alexis, a talented junior on a vocal music scholarship at Oakland University (OU) majoring in Vocal Performance and Music Education, has built an impressive artistic resume through years of dedication to music. Currently, she sings with the Oakland Chorale and performs with the Golden Grizzly Jazz Singers at OU. She is an on-staff vocalist at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Rochester. For two consecutive summers, she attended Interlochen, where she received rigorous training through their specialized music programs. She also performed as a Michigan Youth Chamber Singer at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Alexis’ talent has taken her to remarkable stages performing at the Troy Mayor's City Address, Ford Field, and Comerica Park. She performed on stage in musical theatre where you may remember her as Belle in Beauty and the Beast and Donna in Mamma Mia at Troy High School.

Over the years, Alexis has earned numerous awards for her vocal performances recognizing her hard work, artistry, and commitment to excellence in music. She won 1st place at UofM in the Michigan Federation of Music competition, the Shirley Sarge Memorial Scholarship, and the scholarship for Troy Community Chorus two years in a row. She was nominated for a Sutton Foster Ovation Award twice, Nominated for Best Actress in a Musical - Click on Detroit, Finalist in the Hal Leonard National Vocal Competition, and won the award for lead performance in a musical at the Annual National Youth Awards in New York.

Alexis has performed at charity events for the Children’s Miracle Network, the Pediatric Wing at Beaumont/Corewell Hospital, the FBI, DEA, Dearborn Heights Firefighters Charity and for the Michigan State Police Southeastern Fundraiser.
